21st Century to maintain transport displays for TfWM
Journeo™, the leading provider of innovative technology solutions to the transport industry, has been awarded the contract to maintain passenger displays for Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), the transport arm of West Midlands Combined Authority.
The maintenance deal covers around 600 displays, including kiosks, rugged information displays and stretched displays at bus stops across the region. The contract is for two years, with a one year extension option, and will be delivered by Journeo’s™ centralised service team operating from the company’s new Head Office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
Journeo™ has already conducted a full engineering audit of all the displays. Engineers will visit each one requiring maintenance or repairs to ensure they are in good working order. The displays will then be enrolled into a service plan which includes scheduled preventative maintenance and rapid response to reported faults, carried out by dedicated 21st Century engineers appointed to TfWM PTE.
Russ Singleton, Journeo’s™ Chief Executive, comments: “We are delighted that TfWM have chosen Journeo™ to provide service, support, and upgrade of their in-shelter passenger information systems across the TfWM region. As designers and manufacturers of the core technologies, including the screens and software, we are well positioned to deliver a fast, efficient and high-quality service.”
Gary Leek, Principle Information Integrity Officer for Transport for West Midlands said: "We were impressed by the attention to detail that Journeo™ applied during an audit of our display screen estate. We are very much looking forward to building on the existing relationship with Journeo™ as one of our trusted technology and service partners as we move towards Mobility as a Service (MaaS) public transport provision."
